A sweeping view of San Deigo, bobbleheads and mock double dutch on the dance floor, were just a few highlights from this wedding recap. Shay and Broc had rooftop ceremony at the Ivy Hotel in San Diego, and had a fun reception down in a ballroom below. They seemed like they had so much fun at their wedding. It was really neat too because Shay’s brother, who couldn’t be there because he is serving in the military overseas right now, wrote a letter to her to be read on her wedding day. It was so sweet and emotional and it was awesome that we got to capture that for them
Lani and Pete are so incredibly cute together! They had a beautiful Jewish ceremony overlooking the ocean at Sea Grove Park and continued the festivities at the L’Auberge. They are just a fun-loving couple and really genuine too, asking if we were having a fun time all night! I loved the fall colors and the dancing shots, especially the Horah since the ceiling is quite low and they were a little concerned about getting pushed through the ceiling!
We are so honored that Sam and Esther flew us out for their wedding. They were actually friends of Esther and Tae (who are from Philly) and that’s how they found out about us! We had never been to New Jersey so it was a fun trip for us too. We even saw fireflies for the first time! They are so cool! I guess when you are born and raised in California, you aren’t really going to have many chances to see fireflies!
Anyway, Esther and Sam had a BEAUTIFUL wedding at Princeton Seminary right next to Princeton University. The old buildings were so cool and really set the stage for this wedding. I have so many favorite parts of this recap…I love the kids blowing bubbles, all of the Esther and Sam shots, and the ring shots were fun this time too. And the little birds that you see, those were the favors that the mother of the bride hand made for everyone, so awesome.
Ok, enough talking about this wedding, enjoy this video!
Esther and Sam, thank you so much for having us come out and preserve your wedding memories, you two are so awesome and I wish we lived on the same coast!!
So here’s a little (or long) news update since it has certainly been a while!!
First of all, we came in 3rd in the 10News A-List competition! Thanks to everyone who voted, you are all so awesome! We are really excited to have this honor
Over the summer we’ve been busy! One thing we did was enter a video into the San Diego Fair and it won first place! We got 2nd and 3rd last year so we’re really excited that we moved up this year. Here’s the award winning video:
One thing to say about that video too is that it is one example of a promo spot which we have so much fun doing! The cool thing is that they can look any way you want, more like a commercial like the one above or more like a highlight of how you work or just a cool fun video showing off your company’s personality. We have a few examples…Here’s one example, here’s another, and here’s another one. If you are interested in something like this for your business, please give us a call! We LOVE doing these and would love to work with you.
We also got to go on a trip this summer! One piece of advice that we have taken from other married couples when we got married was to make lots of good memories. We’ve really striven to follow that advice especially before we have kids and still have time to go lots of places…so here’s where we went this summer! We took two weeks and went to Ireland, Germany and The Netherlands. Here is a teaser pic and I’ll post the video soon (after I catch up on some wedding videos)
Stay tuned…our next wedding recap video is from New Jersey!!
Jason and Sharon are probably one of the most outright chill couples we’ve gotten to work with. They were so calm the day of the wedding and so relaxed that they were able to have lots of fun! Their wedding was on July 3rd at The Soledad Club which overlooks San Diego. Since it was the day before the 4th, there was an extra special fireworks show at Sea World which everyone at the wedding got to enjoy! It was really cool to see all their friends and family all come together and enjoy fireworks at the end of a wedding.
Justin and Patricia were such a sweet couple! They had a beatiful ceremony at the Immaculata at USD and a fun and beautiful reception at the Four Seasons in Carlsbad. I really liked their idea of having people write their thoughts and notes on a paper and hanging them on a tree in the middle of the table. They also had the cutest prayer from one of their flower girls. I feel like I’m always saying this (but it really is true!) but this couple looked so happy together and so in love. We just love doing weddings because we get to see people so happy in love all the time.
Kassie and Chad had such a beautiful wedding at The Grand Tradition’s Arbor Terrace. It was neat that they incorporated so many people in their ceremony. Kassie’s mom sang a song and so did one of her bridesmaids. They also had a beautiful sand ceremony that not only symbolized their union but Kassie’s daughter as part of the family as well. It was really touching. My favorite parts include the shots with the adorable flower girl with Kassie’s daughter playing with the umbrellas, the father’s toast, and the dancing.
Rea and Peter were such a fun couple to work with. They had their wedding at the ever beautiful Loews Coronado Hotel. Throughout the course of the night we learned that they are huge baseball fans and would like to visit every major league baseball stadium in the country, they also enjoy fantasy Nascar and Rea used to be a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! We also learned that their guests know how to party! The dancing was off the hook and as you’ll see in the dancing section, they definitely had a good time.
Favorite parts of this video: the officient’s talk about growing old together, it was really touching…and the dancing and of course the TMNT speech!
In June we had the honor of being brought out to Arizona for a wedding! Although it was very very hot and not at all what we’re used to, we had a great time. Natalie and Curtis were such an awesome and fun couple. The guests really knew how to party and even did a bunch of group dances (one of them led by Natalie herself).
My favorite parts include the beautiful shots Jared got as the sun was going down of the couple, the shoe shot, and the shots of them dancing toward the end = so fun! I just loved that they were both on the dance floor all night!
Enjoy!
Vendors: Unfortunately, I don’t have the contact of all the vendors since they are AZ based but here’s what I have
Sean and Amanda got married at the Admiral Kidd Club in June! Their wedding was really unique in that they have a lot of grandparents who are still alive. A really cool thing they did to honor those grandparents was have all of them say something (a toast, a poem etc..) It is great that they got a video because now they will be able to remember all those kind words spoken by their family. Another cool thing they did was during the dancing time. They did a Tarantella (for the side of the family that is Italian) and a Hora (for the Jewish side of the family). I love it when people incorporate cultural activities into their weddingsThey chose a little Chicago to go with their recap video…
