Eric and Lina had a beautifully unique wedding. She’s from Denmark and so they included some Danish traditions – like grabbing the groom and cutting off the tip of his socks for example. The Danes had to learn some of our traditions as well like catching the bouquet. It was really neat seeing the two (who are obviously very much in love) combine their cultures and friends and family. Enjoy this emotional and awesome wedding!
Vendors:
Venue – Casa De Shapiro
Catering – Crepes Bonaparte – Oh WOW these were good for dinner AND dessert
Jake and Crystal had a beautiful wedding in Temecula! It was an emotional ceremony that totally teared me up. We just LOVE doing weddings and hopefully you can see why when you watch our recaps
What a great venue! We were thrilled with the lighting at this wedding and thought everything in general turned out great for Sara and Adam. We’ve actually worked weddings with Sara before since she has been Krista’s assistant for quite a while. It was so fun to hang out with all the vendors at this wedding, what a great celebration for a fellow vendor! They had a Vegas theme since that’s where they were headed for their honeymoon but my favorite part of their wedding was Sara’s dance with her step-dad. They choreographed an awesome dance! Adam and Sara look so happy together and you could just tell everyone was happy for them tooCongratulations you two!!
Here’s their recap:
And here’s the slide show we did for their wedding as well:
We had a great time with Sarah and John…actually it was strange because I remember Sarah way back from high school swimming days when competed against each other! They found us at the Bridal Bazaar and we hit it off…so here’s what we put together for their wedding dayThey’ve been together since high school and John actually wore a white tux just like he did to prom with Sarah, I think that’s such a great memory… so enjoy…

What do a heart shaped lake, a horse-drawn carriage and a princess dress add up to?…one fairy tale wedding! Michelle and Jonathan got married at the Grand Tradition and as excited as they were about the fairy tale wedding, we were jumping for joy about the gorgeous lighting, haha. But seriously they were an awesome couple to work with and had a great sense of humor. Jonathan started his toast by saying “you’ll never get your hands on me lucky charms” and made us laugh out loud.
I can’t believe we had two couples celebrate their 10 year anniversaries with a full wedding celebration this year! Ira and Mike got married at the courthouse and now 10 years and 2 kids later they had a great celebration. My favorite part about this recap is that Ira asked us to include parts of her first wedding video…isn’t it amazing how fast technology has changed? Anyway, I think it’s super sweet to see the first vows and the second vows back to back…I also love that they played bingo at the reception, and everyone was so into it, what a fun idea.
Wow are these two in love…seriously…it was so cuteI was listening to Sara talk about Pat while she was getting ready, she really missed him – aww! They had a great wedding at the Darlington House. They really wanted to make their ceremony unique and so they took traditions from different cultures and tied them into their day…literally! They did a hand fasting ceremony which you’ll see in the recap, Bethel did a great job facilitating that. At the end you pull all the ribbons and “tie the knot”. It was fun to see something different. The venue was beautiful and the food at the reception was great too! They had sushi and crepe stations – wow, so yummy! And at the end of the night there were dessert crepes.

Frankie and Grace actually got married 10 years ago. They decided it was time to renew their vows and have the whole shebang! They have two beautiful children that you will see throughout the video. For this recap, we really tried to highlight the emotion of the day. I was tearing up editing this wedding because I could just see the depth of emotion that comes with 10 years of marriage…when “for better or worse, for richer or poorer, and in sickness and health” have real meaning because you’ve experienced the good times and the hard times…
So you’ll see lots of laughing and tears in this recap. Frankie J is a pretty awesome [Grammy nominated] singer and at one point in the reception, he got up and sang Grace some of her favorite songs in Spanish. Actually it was interesting because most of the wedding was in Spanish and we kind of felt like we were editing in the dark a little bit – love the challenge!
Anyway, enough of my thoughts, please enjoy this star themed recap of a beautiful 10 years of marriage!
Kaity and Steve had a very intimate ceremony and reception, just the closest of family and friends. They had us shoot their wedding, photo shoot and delicious reception (the food was so good!) in order to put together a highlight video to show at their later receptions in each of their home towns. Kaity and Steve were so fun to meet and get to know! He actually mined his own gold for her ring which I think is AMAZING! (also check out his cufflinks…so great) We had a great time meeting all the family on the limo bus as well – it was great chatting with you!
So if you are a guest at either, here is what they showed at the wedding if you wanted a chance to watch it again (13 minute version):
And we also edited a shorter recap video if you would like to see the shorter version (4:25):
Melissa and Darren had a lovely wedding overlooking the ocean at Calumet Park. We were worried it would rain but it cleared up just enough for some perfectly awesome light! After the ceremony we headed down to the El Cortez for a fun reception!
Favorite parts: they had 2 groom cakes…a California one and a Texas one since part of their relationship was long distance…the sweet letter Darren wrote to his mother and their first dance.
